I accidentally created a Business Stripe account instead of an Individual account
Short answer
When creating your Stripe Account, if it is asking you for a "Business Name", you may have accidentally created a Business account. If you created a Business Stripe account instead of an Individual account, you’ll need to update your account type directly in your Stripe Dashboard.
This can be fixed in just a few steps.
Why this matters
JOON reimbursements must be deposited into a Stripe Individual account.
If your Stripe account is set up as a Business account, reimbursements may be delayed until the account type is corrected.
How to change your Stripe account to an Individual account
Follow these steps in your Stripe Dashboard:

Log in to Stripe

Login to your JOON dashboard, click on "Connected Accounts" at the bottom of the page, and click "View Stripe Account".

Open Settings

Once logged into your Stripe account, click on Settings in the bottom left corner of the dashboard.

Update Business Details

In the Business Type section, change the business type to "Individual" and update the account holder information to reflect your personal details

Verify your identity

Stripe may ask you to:Confirm personal information, upload identification documents, or complete identity verification steps. Make sure all information reflects you as an individual, not a company.

Save your changes

After updating the account type and verification details, save all changes and confirm your account now shows as an Individual account

What happens next
Once your Stripe account is correctly set up as an Individual account:
- JOON will be able to issue reimbursements normally
- Any pending reimbursements will process according to the standard timeline
