Reimbursement statuses explained (Pending, Issued)

Reimbursement statuses explained (Pending, Issued)

Short answer

JOON reimbursements move through two statuses: Reimbursement Pending and Reimbursement Issued.

Both are normal, and neither usually requires action.

You can see your Reimbursement Status on your JOON dashboard by clicking on "See Past Reimbursements"

How reimbursement statuses work

Reimbursement Pending

  • Your reimbursement was submitted successfully
  • Your employer is reviewing all reimbursements for final approval
  • No action is needed from you

Reimbursements can remain Pending until employer review is complete.

Reimbursement Issued

  • Your reimbursement has been approved and scheduled
  • Funds have been sent to your bank
  • Deposits typically arrive within 2–3 business days, depending on your bank

What this means for you

  • Reimbursements are not paid immediately
  • Pending is expected until the month closes
  • Issued means your reimbursement is on the way

Common questions

Can a reimbursement skip a status?

No. All reimbursements move through Pending → Issued

I don’t see the previous month in my “Past Reimbursements”. Why is that?

If your previous month’s reimbursements isn’t showing up in "Past Reimbursements" on your JOON dashboard, this is because the month hasn’t officially been closed out yet. Once your employer starts reviewing all reimbursements, your reimbursement will appear as “Reimbursement Pending”.

When to contact JOON Support
