Connected Card Purchases Near the End of the Month Not Showing Up in Time?
Short answer
If you made a purchase using your connected purchase card near the end of the month and don't see it in your JOON dashboard yet, it may be because the transaction hasn't posted to your debit or credit card yet. Banks can take a few days to process and post transactions - especially over weekends or holidays. If you're close to the submission deadline, we recommend adding the purchase manually so it counts toward the current month.
Why connected purchase card transactions may not appear right away
When you use your connected purchase card, JOON pulls in transactions once they've been posted by your bank. A purchase may show as "pending" on your bank statement for a few days before it officially posts - and until it posts, it won't appear in your JOON dashboard.
This is most common for:
- Purchases made with your connected purchase card in the last few days of the month
- Transactions over a weekend or around a bank holiday
- Certain merchants that take longer to process payments
What to do if you're close to the submission deadline
If your connected purchase card transaction hasn't appeared in your dashboard and the submission deadline is approaching, don't wait — add the purchase manually so it's submitted in time.
To manually add a purchase:
- Go to your JOON dashboard
- Click Add Purchase
- Enter the purchase details including the merchant, amount, and purchase date
- Upload your receipt and submit

What to do when the connected purchase card transaction posts
Once the transaction posts and appears in your JOON dashboard as a connected purchase card transaction, you'll have a duplicate - the manual submission you already made and the connected purchase card transaction that just came through.
To resolve this:
- Locate the connected purchase card transaction in your All Purchases page
- Click the cog wheel (⚙️) next to it
- Select Revoke to remove the duplicate connected purchase card transaction
- Your original manual submission will remain and stay applied toward the month
Note: Make sure you revoke the connected purchase card transaction — not your manually submitted one, which has already been reviewed and applied.
Good to know
- Bank processing times vary - most connected purchase card transactions post within 2–3 business days, but it can take longer around weekends and holidays
- If the month has already closed by the time the transaction posts, revoking the duplicate is still important to keep your purchase history accurate
- If you're unsure which submission to keep or need help resolving a duplicate, submit a support ticket and we'll help you sort it out
