Where is my reimbursement?
Short answer
Reimbursements are processed after the month closes and typically arrive mid-to-late the following month. For example, January reimbursements are typically deposited between February 15–28.
If you submitted a purchase recently, it's completely normal not to see payment right away — reimbursements are never processed in real time. You can check your reimbursement status anytime in your JOON dashboard.
How to check your reimbursement status
In your JOON dashboard, click on "See Past Reimbursements". Every reimbursement will show one of the following statuses:
Reimbursement Pending | Your purchases have been approved and sent to your employer for final review. No action is needed - your reimbursement is in progress.
Reimbursement Issued | Your reimbursement has been approved and funds are on their way to your direct deposit account. Most banks post funds within 2–3 business days of issuance.

If your reimbursement is showing either of these statuses, everything is on track and no action is needed.
Why reimbursements can take longer than expected
A few things can extend the timeline:
- Your employer's review is still in progress
- Your reimbursement was approved right before a weekend or bank holiday
- Your bank takes additional time to post incoming deposits
In most cases, delays resolve on their own without any action needed from you.
Before contacting support, check these first
If your reimbursement hasn't arrived when expected, we recommend checking the following before reaching out:
- Your reimbursement status — is it showing Reimbursement Pending or Reimbursement Issued in your dashboard?
- Your direct deposit information — make sure your bank account details are correct and up to date in your JOON profile. If your reimbursement was issued but hasn't arrived after 3 business days, an outdated account number or personal information may be the cause. You can verify or update your bank account and personal details directly in your JOON dashboard. See How to Update Your Direct Deposit Account.
Common questions
-
Why did my coworker receive their reimbursement before me? All reimbursements are issued at the same time, but arrival timing can vary depending on your bank or financial institution.
-
Does updating my bank account delay payment? Yes. If your direct deposit information was updated recently, it may take additional time for the payment to process.
-
Do weekends or holidays affect timing? Yes. Banks only process payments on business days, so weekends and federal holidays can extend the timeline.
-
My past reimbursement isn't showing up on my JOON dashboard at all. This is usually because the month hasn't closed yet, or no eligible purchases were submitted for that month.
When to contact support
Please reach out if:
- Your reimbursement has been showing Reimbursement Pending for more than a month
- Your reimbursement shows Reimbursement Issued but hasn't appeared in your account after 7 business days
If neither of these apply, your reimbursement is likely still processing normally.
